Due to the hilly terrain, the many fiords and the fact that the town of Maniitsoq is situated on a small island, a boat will be necessary for most excursions.
 
So far 3 hiking maps of the Maniitsoq area have been published, one covering the entire island of Maniitsoq and nearby areas, one covering Apussuit glacier with its endless possibilities for ski-sports, and one covering the Evighedsfiord area.
 
Maniitsoq Adventures Incoming offers a variety of excursions, boattrips, citywalks, hikingtrips and much more.
 
The tour operator Kangia Boat Charter has 2 boats that have been approved for passenger transportation. Both ships are approved to max 12 passengers. Normally we will use the ship Aqqalu for tourist trips, but for long distance trips we will use the fast ship Nivi. For booking of ships, please contact Maniitsoq Adventures Incoming.
